'Horses are natural followers looking for natural leaders. A leader is defined as someone who makes a decision others can say yes to.

Learn how to use the natural leadership spectrum to develop a safe, interesting and harmonious partnership with horses. 

Experience how to remain true to the principles of natural horsemanship yet be able to flex your communication style to suit the individual „horsenality“ of your horse and the situation at hand. Horses live in the moment!

 In this course, we emphasize a rather slow but profound approach.  You will learn to communicate as naturally as possible with the horse, to read the body language of your horse and to develop more feel and timing in order to make decisions your horse likes to consent to.

For safety reasons and part of the leadership spectrum we start on the ground with basic equipment and progress to a communication without any tools. In the second part of the clinic you are also introduced to a natural approach to riding or can further develop your liberty skills.'

Program Summary

​

Surround yourself with the healing and inspiring spirit of Joseph’s Dream Appaloosas in the silence of the African bush! Learn and sharpen your natural horsemanship skills, help raise foals, and assist with training and backing horses. Learn to truly live and train horses force free and with respect and experience the joy and freedom of this!

Learn from Ursula how to find your own language based on the foundation of the Parelli principles and her lifelong experience she will share with you! Our natural living horses with their different horsenalities will teach you to sharpen your senses and how to first listen to these amazing animals before starting to communicate. 

You will learn how to read the horse as individual and how to approach this in a unique training way while using the ingredients of your newly gained insides & methods in the right dose and timing.

We are taking it slow during this retreat and are respecting the horses as well as your personal pace and feelings and the nature around us. As always here at JD we can promise you will learn at least as much about yourself like you will learn about horses...

Take your time and breathe in the stunning and intense African nature, colourful sunrises and sunsets everyday and let your soul be filled up by the incredible concert of nature in these magical hours of the day! View our free roaming game at our local waterhole at dusk or dig into a book at your private luxury terrace of your chalet. Enjoy a dip into your private sitting pool on your veranda with a glass of wine. Take a stroll amongst the paddocks and meet our affctionate JD foals & Alpacas or indulge in some sweet cuddles from our Mini Donkeys and Mini Horses... 

Our peaceful and modern shaped green village provides accomodation for you during your stay in one of our brand-new chalets with private toilet and bathroom. Our limited number of maximum 10 participants for this special workshop ensures that the desired family character of the whole experience stays alive and provides the opportunity for personal attention and questions.
