Let us introduce to you our JD Academy Mentorship program and help us make this world a better place for horses and people.
Joseph's Dream Stud & Academy is based in Namibia. A country with an unemployment rate of roughly 40% (a youth unemployment rate of 45%) and still a deep gap between rich and poor.
Traditionally in the indigenous cultures horses are the men’s domain in Namibia.
The believe that one needs body strength (or even violence) to handle bigger livestock and equines is widely spread and deeply rooted.
But with horsemanship approach this certainly is not true and even the smallest built woman can become the greatest horse handler & caretaker.
We want to change minds in our community for the well-being of the horses but at the same time empower and inspire women for great work opportunities in a constant growing equine field of more awareness and kindness. To get employment as gentle and knowledgeable grooms, caretakers and trainers in Namibia.
In our mentorship program you can support a local Namibian woman to join our complete JD Academy Foundation Course to get the best start into a new field on an international acknowledged level!
We at JD will then further assist all committed and passionate graduates for further schooling as an intern here in our programs for a holistic foundation of equine care and nutrition and assist with finding a suitable job position according to schooling level in the field.
You as the mentor will stay part of the journey of your supported student during her entire course and hopefully life!
While here with us at JD we will make sure you get regular updates from your supported student and we will encourage our graduates to keep contact to us for further guidance and additional education opportunities for them in their equine life story after JD!
We commit to carefully choose our students with our contacts from within the communities to make sure we are supporting the right match, talent, commitment and passion for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in Namibians Equine World.

We alone cannot bring sustainable change and maybe you alone do not have the resources for a complete mentorship but you would really like to help us empower our first student!
